Stress is the result of a series of hormonal and biochemical changes that tenses the body because of any unexpected or undesired hormonal and biochemical changes. Stress is usually associated with an increase in heart rate, adrenaline rushes through our blood stream, and temporary shutdown of the digestive and immune systems.

Yoga is a broad term for a series of practices practiced in India for more than 5000 years. I have trained in yoga and there are positions like the pranayama which is an extention and control of the breath, various types of pranayama like bhramari, ujjayi, nadishodhan pranayama have very deep impact on entire body.

All said we cannot avoid stress. The aim is not necessarily to avoid all stressful events, but to develop the capability to relax during daily activities and during challenging situations in life
